Saving Our Water Bodies from their Microplastics Crisis

MDLifespan has officially announced a partnership with 4ocean, an organization dedicated to removing plastic waste from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines. Together, be companies will work towards eliminating 10,000 pounds worth of plastic pollution, and therefore, protect our bodies from the detrimental effects attached to Dangerous Microplastics. To understand the significance of such a development, though, we first need to acknowledge that since 1950, the world has produced an estimated 18.3 trillion pounds of plastic, with less than 10% being recycled and more than 79% accumulating in the environment. This proposition is only made worse by one World Economic Forum prediction which states that global plastic production will triple by 2050. Markedly enough, if that ends up happening, the effects of it won’t just be limited to the environment, considering it will also make a massive dent on the global economy, food supply, and societal health. An example of the same is how ocean-based industries, such as fishing and tourism, employ billions of people and contribute trillions to the global economy. Hence, any further damage to our water bodies could lead leave a lasting global impact. Another example springing from our last would be the plastic’s impact on our health. You see, with marine animals being forced to ingest plastic, the seafood industry has gradually become a big reason why people are unwittingly taking in microplastics into their body. These microplastics have already shown themselves, across several studies, to cause heart disease, infertility issues, and several other health problems.

“We’ve neglected our planet, but we’re ready to change that! We’re thrilled to partner with 4ocean to remove 10,000 pounds of plastic from our oceans. A cleaner planet means better health for everyone,” said Dr. Paul Savage, CEO of MDLifespan.

Having talked about the problem at hand, we now must turn our attention towards what makes MDLifespan and 4ocean the ideal candidates to solve it. In former’s case, the answer resides in its PlasmaXchange protocol, which is distributed in three different parts. The first part would be where you schedule monthly visits to the MDLifespan office to have your Therapeutic Plasma Exchange Therapy appointments. Depending on your labs, it may be recommended for 3 or 5 treatments. Anyway, the next step is rooted in nutrition, which ensures that you receive the optimal nutrients to enhance the detoxification process. Alongside wider nutritional advice, you are also provided a specialized protein shake and an IV after each plasma session. The third and final part of this protocol is making meaningful changes to your lifecycle, changes that include reducing your use of plastics, eating clean & organic foods, upgrading your home water system, and more.

“We’re thrilled to team up with MDLifespan! Their mission to eliminate microplastics from the body aligns perfectly with our goal to end plastic pollution. Together, we’re a powerful force for change,” said Ryan Dick, Brand Partnership Representative for 4ocean.

As for 4ocean, founded in 2017, the company’s case is made by a track record of having removed over 29 million pounds in plastic waste and other man-made debris from our oceans and coastlines.
