Delta, global leader in power management and a provider of IoT-based smart green solutions, has officially announced the launch of multiple new solutions to reinforce the scope of green manufacturing. According to certain reports, these solutions include Virtual Machine Development Platform DIATwin, Smart Warehouse and Logistics Solutions, and High-Speed Die Pick-and-Place Solution. Talk about the same on a slightly deeper level, we begin from Virtual Machine Development Platform DIATwin, a technology which leverages AI algorithms and digital twin technology to save development time by up to 20% with high fidelity simulations. More on the same would reveal how this new technology employs software to create virtual equipment for testing mechanical design and production plans, as well as to generate optimal recipe parameters. In essence, the stated platform is capable of saving on equipment development time by almost 20%. This it delivers alongside its bid to offer full production life-cycle support, and reduce costs and product time to market. To complement that, Delta has also introduced an innovative digital twin platform developed on the NVIDIA OmniverseTM infrastructure, a twin platform which can virtually link specific production lines and aggregate data from a diverse range of equipment and systems. This it does to generate synthetic data for training its computer models to achieve 90% accuracy. Next up, we have Smart Warehouse and Logistics Solutions that leverage 3D machine vision and a wireless charging system to optimize the warehousing and logistics cost. Markedly enough, once you combine such a setup with Delta’s specialized warehouse management system, these solutions can be expected to reduce warehousing and logistics costs by an estimated 30% through workforce optimization and intelligent transformation.
As for what type of solutions will be provided here, the highlights include a High End IIoT Controller AX-5 Series which can facilitate nanosecond computing speed and seamless integration with automated warehousing systems. Joining the mix is Delta’s AC Motor Drive that integrates power supply, relay, and other peripherals to convey and sort equipment for reducing cabinet costs. There is also a 3D ToF Mini Camera DMV-TM technology, which can enable Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) to acquire accurate depth data for efficiency and safety. Hold on, we are not done yet, considering we still haven’t touched on the presence of M∞Vair Series Wireless Charging Systems. Ranging from 1kw to 30kw, these systems provide contactless power transmission to enable automatic contactless, wireless charging for AGVs, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), larger industrial vehicles like forklifts and tractors, as well for all those vehicles with maximum of 95% end-to-end power transmission efficiency.
When quizzed regarding Delta’s latest flurry of solutions, Andy Liu, general manager of Delta’s Industrial Automation Business Group (IABG), responded by saying:
“This is the crucial moment for factories to embrace smart green manufacturing in the face of global supply chain reshuffling, carbon pricing trends, soaring energy and production costs, and the worldwide AI boom. Delta not only integrates a new and broad industry-based smart manufacturing solutions, but also enhances data analytics by AI and implements cyber-physical integration in production lines to facilitate smart green transformation for cutting-edge high-precision manufacturing. Meanwhile, we continue to enable substantial energy savings for our customers, such as Delta’s AC motor drives, which helped save 1.676 billion kWh of electricity in 2023,”
Finally, we turn our attention towards the new High-Speed Die Pick-and-Place Solution, which can integrate linear motors, optical linear encoders, and the Linear Pocket Actuator LPL Series. Markedly enough, the stated Linear Pocket Actuator LPL Series, on its part, boasts a force sensor to ensure high-speed, high-precision pick-and-place operations of dies. Anyway, backed by a compact low-voltage servo system, Delta’s new technology allows soft die pick-and-place and gantry synchronization for excellent high-speed linear motion accuracy and stability. To contextualize that, if compared with mechanism designs with ballscrews and pneumatic cylinders, Delta’s solution reduces cycle time by 15%, and at the same time, enhances product yield by 20%.
